Mentoring and Training
We continue to support our volunteers so that they can best meet the needs of GFSC clients. Using a combination of on-line and face-to-face sharing, learning and mentoring as well as the development of new materials, GFSC provides opportunities for facilitators to share techniques and issues in building community resilience and self-reliance, improve their skills and techniques in disaster & crisis intervention, virtual mentoring and strategic planning for NGOs. Designate "Mentored Pathways" on your donation.

GFSC Workshops
To train and mentor local facilitators, NGO and other support professionals in: resiliency; disaster intervention/psycho-social recovery, caring for the caregiver and community building, so that they can provide local facilitation support to their communities responding to an immediate need and/or preparation and on-going support. Designate "GFSC Workshops" on your donation.

Local Network Development
Coordinating facilitators in many locations around the world who share the GFSC commitment for helping communities create solutions to their challenges; reaching out to other non-profits, NGOs and other community organizations in each area, identifying needs and customizing effective solutions to their challenges. Designate "LVN" with a specify country or region, if desired.

Conference Scholarships
International Association of Facilitators:
To further the professional development of those facilitators who are committed to working on community outreach projects you can contribute toward scholarships to the 2008 IAF Conferences in Atlanta, Georgia; or other IAF Regional Conferences. National Coalition for Dialogue and Deliberation:

October 3-5, 2008 in Austin, Texas; NCDD is a growing community of practice dedicated to solving group and societal problems through honest talk, quality thinking and collaborative action. For more information about NCDD, visit http://www.thataway.org/.
